Much going on

Oh dear, it has been a while since my last “real” blog post. All – or at least most of what has been going on at Büchertiger Studio and Press was connected to the Message in a Bottle project and thus was blogged over there: A whole bunch of bottles was made, dispatched in different rivers on different continents even. A couple were also found, and just today I made another batch with numbers 23 to 28.

Oh je, mein letzter richtiger Blogpost hier ist ja schon eine Weile her! Es war privat eine Menge los, und daher hatte ich wenig zum Vorzeigen. Das wenige, was ich so gemacht habe, war immer Flaschenpost bezogen, und ist daher auf den Flaschenpost-Blog gewandert. Da ist immerhin einiges passiert in der Zwischenzeit: Neue Flaschen wurden gemacht, von verschiedenen Leuten auf verschiedenen Kontinenten ausgestzt, und es wurden auch zwei Flaschen gefunden. Gerade heute habe ich neue Flaschen gemacht: Nummern 23 bis 28.

This weekend was a productive one. Not only did I make this six bottles, I also made another Special Journal Kit ready to ship:

The reason I spent some time with this kit again, was a request that I received already a couple of weeks ago. The customer did not only want a copy, she asked for an English version, and I agreed to that. So now the instructions are halfway translated. I hope to finish them by next week and offer it to everyone next weekend.

Aber neben den Flaschen habe ich auch noch ein neues Exemplar meines Lederjournal Kits gemacht (das ist jetzt bei Etsy erhältlich andere hier auf DaWanda). Der Grund, warum ich ausgerechnet an der Stelle weiter gearbeitet habe, und nicht etwa eine der versprochenen Anleitungung geschrieben habe, ist eine Kundenanfrage, ob ich das Kit nicht auch auf Englisch liefern könnte. Und so bin ich gerade auch noch dabei, die Anleitung zu übersetzen. Da bin ich eigentlich ganz gut voran gekommen, und hoffe nächstes Wochenende damit fertig zu werden.

Actually this might not be the best time to write instructions and stock up on journals. The latest and biggest news are: Hubby and I decided to move to Nottingham, England, and we will be moving already this summer, probably end of August/beginning of September. That leaves us a little less than three months to arrange for a lot of things. But still it seems quite far away, right now we are making only plans. I find it hard to decide where and when to start to actually do more than that.
At the moment I have a lot of journals and jotters on stock that I don’t offer in my online shops for a variety of reasons. I am wondering whether I should hold a sale there. Maybe put them on Ebay? – All this listing eats such an insane amount of time that I don’t really feel up to it. But moving with them all? I’ll have to make more plans and at some point decide on one.

Eigentlich sollte ich aber wohl gerade ganz andere Dinge tun, als Instruktionen schreiben und neue Journals machen. Wir haben nämlich beschlossen, noch diesen Sommer nach Nottingham, England umzuziehen. Das lässt uns weniger als drei Monate, um alles zu arrangieren. Aber doch scheint alles noch so weit entfernt, dass ich, außer Plänen noch nicht so viel gemacht habe. Und die ranken sich vor allem darum, was ich noch machen will, bevor ich das Land verlasse. Nun denn, ich halte euch auf jeden Fall auf dem Laufenden, und ihr erfahrt, wenn es was Neues gibt. Bis dahin!
