Days Fly By…

Black and Red…and I still have not found back into my daily routine, and only made one book since the craft fair.

I am torn at the moment between making more blank books (the hope is that by listing new items more often, I can easier be found by potential customers), picking up some of the art projects that I started since the summer, and writing.

Writing mostly won the fight for my attention in the last days. And after two weeks of writing html pages I even wrote a short story. And  I started a new book on instructions and got so carried away while planning the contents, that it is actually two books now – which mainly means that while I cannot decide on which one to work first, neither gets done.

Black and RedSo, to do anything at all, I made this book you see here. It’s the first time I made a slipcase for a blank book. I made the slipcase in the spur of the moment, without planning to make one at first. The book has the same format as the autumn leaf book  (you’ll have to scroll down a bit to see it here), and I have come to like this format, and the brown paper pages. And I am wondering at the moment, whether I should develop some kind of product line out of them. They would differ in the color of the leather used, and I would change the decorative paper accordingly, but the size, binding, location of sewing stations, and general design would be the same for all of them. – Ah, let’s see whether I can sell a single one…

Have a nice day!

  1. Hi Hilke

Wonderful book and the slip case make it a very elegant purchase. This design would be a perfect gift for a man or a woman.

Time is getting away from me at the moment, sorry for neglecting your blog. I always enjoy my visits here, and they need to be more frequent.

    Best wishes

    Billie 🙂
